Marie's Student Visionaries of the Year Fundraiser
4/24/23
Hey everyone!
Only 3 days left in my Student of the Year campaign!
We are getting so close to our goal, but we still need all the support we can get! Can you help me reach my goal by reaching out to people you may know?! Share my personal fundraising page: https://events.lls.org/wi/svoynewisc23/mdums
with friends to make a donation TODAY!
Your generosity will bring help and hope to the millions of people impacted by blood cancer and all types of cancer!
If you are looking for another way to support, feel free to bud on our team’s silent auction items on the grand finale website — https://svoynewi23.givesmart.com
Our silent auction items are numbers 108 and 109! Our team gets credit for the total of the winning bids on these items. The auction is live as of Tuesday April 25th and closes at 7:45 PM on Thursday April 27th. Please check out our items and bid on them to support our campaign!
Please note, to bid on silent auction items, you will need to register and provide your credit card information. The credit card on file will only be charged if you win a silent auction item(s) or make a donation through the grand finale website, GiveSmart.
Thank you for supporting my effort to help cure cancer!

Our team is currently at $3,390.00 raised which is INCREDIBLE!
Huge thank you to everyone who came out and supported our Noodles Night and Sweet Lair event, we got a lot of good profit from those events!!
In these following weeks, please consider taking the time to share this fundraising page (https://events.lls.org/wi/svoynewisc23/mdums) with other friends who might not have heard about the life-changing ideals of LLS. Encourage them to support! Any donation of any amount is extremely ground-breaking and especially appreciated!
Will YOU help us reach our goal of $10,000 in these next 2 weeks??
Thanks so much in advance for all your support!!

Hey everyone!
Can you believe it? We are almost to the halfway point of this campaign and we have gotten so much support, it is just incredible! Since the last time I posted, our numbers have just gotten larger and my team and I are sitting at $3,170 raised which is AMAZING!! With every dollar donated, blood cancers like leukemia and lymphoma are being combatted worldwide, which is INCREDIBLE!
So as we come into spring break, I just wanted to put out a couple of reminders of exciting events my team and I have planned in support of this campaign!
First of all, our LLS Noodles and Company Fundraiser ! My team and I are thrilled with the opportunity to raise some money in cooperation with Noodles! We can’t do it alone though: we need at least 75 people in attendance to profit off of this fundraiser at Noodles and Company. So share the event and poster with friends and come down on Wednesday April 5th to the Noodles and Company at 4333 Wisconsin Ave, in Appleton! If you will be attending in person, show the provided QR code on the poster and ensure that the cashier knows you are here to support LLS. If you are supporting online, use the coupon code GIVING25 at checkout! Your support here really means so much, so thank you in advance!
Additionally, starting on Tuesday April 4th, is our LLS Sweet Lair Event!! The Sweet Lair LLC is an awesome and fun cafe/bakery downtown Menasha, and from Tuesday April 4th through Thursday April 6th we will be running a proceeds fundraiser in benefit of this LLS campaign! So come on down for a sweet treat during shop hours (Tuesday: 8 AM- 8 PM) (Wed/Thurs: 8 AM - 4PM) and mention you are there in support of LLS when you order!
Thank you SO MUCH in advance for your support at these events! Participation on any level has such a huge impact, it means a lot! If you want to spread the word, share these events with friends and family, or share this fundraising page with others as well!
Your donation really makes a world of difference so thank YOU!
3/17/23 - Welcome to Week 2 of the 2023 LLS Student Visionaries of the Year Campaign!!
WOW!! Over this past week, we have gotten so much support and I could not be more thankful! Every donation makes a world of difference and is extremely appreciated, so THANK YOU!
As we get further into the campaign, we have planned some awesome fundraising events where you can show your support: Coming up on March 22nd, we will be having a Qdoba fundraiser night at the Qdoba on E. Calumet Street in Appleton from 4-8 PM, so if you are looking for some good food for a great cause, come out and support! If you are supporting in person, bring the provided QR code to present when you are ordering. Ordering online is also an incredible option, just use the coupon code QDOBAGIVES at checkout!! Again, any support you can provide on that night would be greatly appreciated!!
On the radar, we are also going to have a Noodles and Company fundraising night on April 5th, and keep an eye out for a sweet event coming up over spring break!
Again, thank you so much for your support so far in this campaign. Any donation of any size makes a world of impact so thank you!
3/9/23 - Welcome to Day 3 of the 2023 LLS Student Visionaries of the Year Campaign!!
Starting on Tuesday the 7th, the seven weeks of the campaign kicked off and I could not be more excited to set things into motion and raise money for the incredible cause of LLS! Thank you so much for your support thus far, it really means a lot! If you feel so inclined, don't hesitate to share this link (https://events.lls.org/wi/svoynewisc23/mdums) with friends and family to spread the word about this amazing campaign!
Given kickoff recently happened, I just wanted to take a moment to acknowledge some of the incredibly crucial people that are a part of this campaign. As a candidate, I would be nothing without my team, so I just wanted to take a moment to introduce them all!!
From left to right we have Elaina Pilzak, Sophie Krema, and Annilee Molchany. They are all amazing people and bring such creative and unique ideas to the table for this campaign! Whether it's event planning, cupcakes, or incredible Grand Finale auction ideas, they are all extremely excited to get this campaign underway and to raise money for the great cause that is LLS.
We are all so incredibly thankful for your support of our team, the Relentless Cancer Slayers, and your aid in letting us bring our ideas to fruition. Again, any donation of any size makes a world of impact, so thank you!
Hello everyone!
My name is Marie Dums, and I am excited and honored to have the privilege of being a 2023 LLS Student Visionaries of the Year Candidate!
I became an SVOY candidate because I am incredibly passionate about helping people in any way possible, and the blood cancer research that LLS funds are something that is very important to me. I am encouraged by the support that LLS provides for blood cancer patients and their families to help them through, and beyond, their diagnosis situation. This whole experience has additionally been an incredible leadership experience for me and I am thankful for every moment of it!
In light of that, I just want to thank you in advance for all of your support in my endeavors as this campaign kicks into action!! Each and every donation, no matter the size, is incredibly impactful and brings a world of help.
Let's make this an amazing campaign over the next 7 weeks, with a reach that will stretch far beyond!
Visionaries look to the future—and see infinite possibility.
They challenge the status quo—and make the impossible possible.
They boldly imagine a better world – and lead the charge to create it.
The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society was built on that same vision - of a better world - one without blood cancers.
I am a visionary; I have a vision for a world without cancer, but I need your help.
This year, I’m proud to be a part of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) Student Visionaries of the Year Campaign, working to raise as much as possible for LLS’s mission.
As a global leader in the fight against blood cancer, LLS:
- Funds cutting-edge research leading to breakthroughs in immunotherapy, genomics and personalized medicine that are improving and saving the lives of patients
- Provides free education and support for blood cancer patients and families, including personalized, one-on-one support, assistance with identifying and enrolling in clinical trials, and more.
- Mobilizes thousands of advocates to drive policy changes that accelerate the development of new cancer treatments and break down barriers to care.
Please consider joining this fight by making a donation. All donations are greatly appreciated and tax-deductible. Please visit my website often and tell friends who would also like to donate!
Thanks to your support, my efforts will help ensure this generation is the last to see cancer.
On behalf of blood cancer patients everywhere, thank you!
